WHY JESUS COULD NOT BEEN BORN WITHOUT A FATHER

Allah says this about His Qur'an/Book of Guidance:

2:185 Ramadhan is the (month) in which was sent down The Qur'an, as a guide to mankind, and clear proofs of guidance and the criterion. So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (Should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful.

25.33 And they shall not bring to you any question/argument, but We have brought to you the truth and best explanation.

75.19 Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it.

Then He says:

4:48 Surely Allah does not forgive that anything should be associated with Him, and forgives what is besides that to whomsoever He pleases; and whoever associates anything with Allah, he devises indeed a great sin.

7.33 Say: My Lord has indeed forbidden shameful deeds, whether open or secret; sins and trespasses against truth or reason; and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down any authority, and that you say against Allah what you do not know.

21:24 Or have they taken for worship (other) gods besides him? Say, "Bring your convincing proof: this is the Message of those with me and the Message of those before me." But most of them know not the Truth, and so turn away.

17.36 And follow not that of which you have not the knowledge; surely the hearing and the sight and the heart, all of these, shall be questioned about that.

Allah, continues:

51.56 And I have not created the jinn and the men except that they should serve Me.

3:185 Every soul shall have a taste of death: And only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is saved far from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object (of Life): For the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception.

4:13 Those are limits set by Allah. those who obey Allah and His Messenger will be admitted to Gardens with rivers flowing beneath, to abide therein (for ever) and that will be the supreme achievement.

Ayat 51:56 explains cleary the reason for our existence--to serve Allah, and we serve Him by doing good deeds/practicing righteousness, as detailed in HIS Book of Truth/Light/Clear Proofs--AL-QUR-AN.

The object of life, therefore, is to do good deeds/practice righteousness so that Allah will grant us the Supreme Achievement--Paradise. Allah, gave us Al-Qur-an for our spiritual guidance, growth/development and for the establishing of Islamic jurisprudence, in order that we practice righteousness in this world and by doing so enter
Paradise in the next. With this in mnd then, what hasn't Allah hasn't fully explained/detailed, in the best way, in His Qur-an towards that end and, what question/arguement cannot be definitievely answered in Qur'an, toward this end?

The question/areguement before mankind to today is, was Jesus born without having a father/male agency[sperm]? Ayats 2:185, 25:73 and 75:19 makes it very clear that Allah has addressed and answered this question/arguement in His Qur'an..for those who believe anyway.

Now, before I continue, many people, Muslims especially, mistake extrapolation for Qur'anic critical analysis.

Main Entry: EXTRAPOLATE: to project, extend, or expand (known data or experience) into an area not known or experienced so as to arrive at a usually conjectural knowledge of the unknown area.

Main Entry: CRITICALLY: exercising or involving careful judgment or judicious evaluation.

Main Entry: ANALYZE: suggests separating or distinguishing the component parts of something so as to discover its true nature or inner relationships.

As the definition explains, when one extrapolates, one is moving from known data to the explain something to taking unknown data to explain something, leading to a conjectural outcome, but no certain knowledge.

In contrast, when one Qur'anically critically analyzes the known data, one continues to stay with the known data, hence, leading to certain knowledge [this is what ayats 25:33 and 75:19 are expressing/certifying.]

Hence, Allah's caveat:

17:36 And pursue not that of which thou hast no knowledge; for every act of hearing, or of seeing or of (feeling in) the heart will be enquired into (on the Day of Reckoning).

Following is the known Qur'anic data concerning human reproduction:

10:4 To Him is your return, of all (of you); the promise of Allah (made) in truth; surely He begins the creation in the first instance, then He reproduces it....

51:49 And of everything We have created pairs that you may be mindful.

53:45 And that He created pairs, the male and the female

78:8 And We created you in pairs,

75:38 Then he was a clot of blood, so He created (him) then made (him) perfect.

16:4 He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer!

18:37 His companion said to him, in the course of the argument with him: "Dost thou deny Him Who created thee out of dust, then out of a sperm-drop, then fashioned thee into a man?

22:5 O mankind! if ye have a doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that We created you out of dust, then out of sperm, then out of a leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, in order that We may manifest (our power) to you; and We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full strength; and some of you are called to die, and some are sent back to the feeblest old age, so that they know nothing after having known (much), and (further), thou seest the earth barren and lifeless, but when We pour down rain on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells, and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs).

23:13. Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed;

23:14. Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create!

35:11 And Allah did create you from dust; then from a sperm-drop; then He made you in pairs. And no female conceives, or lays down (her load), but with His knowledge. Nor is a man long-lived granted length of days, nor is a part cut off from his life, but is in a Decree (ordained). All this is easy to Allah.

36:77 Doth not man see that it is We Who created him from sperm? yet behold! he (stands forth) as an open adversary!

40:67. It is He Who has created you from dust then from a sperm-drop, then from a leech-like clot; then does he get you out (into the light) as a child: then lets you (grow and) reach your age of full strength; then lets you become old,- though of you there are some who die before;- and lets you reach a Term appointed; in order that ye may learn wisdom.

75:37 Was he not a drop of sperm emitted (in lowly form)?

76:2 Verily We created Man from a drop of mingled sperm, in order to try him: So We gave him (the gifts), of Hearing and Sight.

80:19 From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions;

96:1 Read in the name of your Lord Who created.

96:2 He created man from a clot.---[clot is sperm and egg]

Main Entry: SEMEN/SPERM : a viscid whitish fluid of the male reproductive tract consisting of spermatozoa suspended in secretions of accessory glands.

Look at the amount of known data/ayats that Allah devoted to the reproduction of humans. Given that, Jesus was a human being/of man, these ayats prove that [if one uses one's common sense/intellect anyway] Jesus had a father, otherwise, he could not have been conceived as sperm is required--that is the LAW of ALLAH. Allah, designed that humans mate and that is why He created us in pairs and why He cannot have children, because He has no MATE, for there is nothing like unto Him to mate with and produce offspring.

Conclusion: Given the above ayats and definitions, it is clear that, Jesus, being a human being, was once a clot [the combination of sperm and egg], the product of pairing--a male [sperm, comes from the male] and a female, hence, Jesus, had to have had a father.

42:11 The Originator of the heavens and the earth; He made mates for you from among yourselves, and mates of the cattle too, multiplying you thereby; nothing like a likeness of Him; and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.

This ayat says that, Allah, makes for everything its mate/pair and this is the means by which humans multiply/reproduce. You will further notice that He makes no exception to this.

It is my understanding that, in addition to Allah telling us about how humans reproduce, the other reason for this amount information in regard to this subject, was to provide the definitive arguement against the Great Shirk that---Allah, has a son. This belief, according to Allah, will send untold numbers to Hell. Given the gravity of the Grat Shirk, it behooves Muslims to stop with their obstinancy and superstition that--Jesus, the son of Maryam, had no father.

Main Entry: OBSTINATE: perversely or tenaciously adhering to an opinion, purpose, or course in spite of reason, arguments, or persuasion.

Main Entry: SUPERSTITION: a belief or practice resulting from ignorance or a false conception of causation: a notion maintained despite evidence to the contrary.

For those who disagree with the above ayats/analysis, then...

21:24 ..."Bring YOUR convincing proof: this is the Message of those with me and the Message of those before me." But most of them know not the Truth, and so turn away.

The Alaq and Anthropos arguements, completely destroy the Great Shirk/Great Superstition that--Allah has a son.

The anthropos arguement is as follows. According to the original Greek manuscripts, from which the many versions of the bible emanate, it only speaks of three natures 1. Theos=God. 2. Pneumatikos=Spirit and 3. Anthropos=man/fully human. There is not name/designation for a dual nature nature, which, the Christians claim just was of. Paul/the bible writes:

1Timothy 2:5: For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

The word for both men and man, in the Greek is--anthropos--fully human.

Nowhere in the Greek is there a word for a dual nature--nature, hence, the Christians, cannot defend the very core tenet of their belief via their own book--the bible.

So, Alaq--the mingling of sperm and egg to produce a human being and anthropos, meaning fully human, totally destroy the Christian Great Shirk/Great Superstition. As Muslims, lets's not collude in their misbehavior and in anyway be deemed that we support miraculous births or other such superstitious and un-Qur'anic notions.

Let's continue:

19:22 So she conceived him; then withdrew herself with him to a remote place.

19:22. Fahamalat-hu faintabathat bihi makanan qasiyyan

In this ayat, Maryam, conceives:

Main Entry: CONCEPTION: the process of becoming pregnant involving fertilization or implantation or both.

7:189 He it is Who created you from a single being, and of the same (kind) did He make his mate, that he might incline to her; so when he covers her she bears a light burden, then moves about with it; but when it grows heavy, they both call upon Allah, their Lord: If Thou givest us a good one, we shall certainly be of the grateful ones.

7:189. Huwa allathee khalaqakum min nafsin wahidatin wajaAAala minha zawjaha liyaskuna ilayha falamma taghashshaha hamalat hamlan khafeefan famarrat bihi falamma athqalat daAAawa Allaha rabbahuma la-in ataytana salihan lanakoonanna mina alshshakireena.

The Arabic word, hamalat, means to conceive, that is, the union of male sperm and female egg, thus, forming in due course--alaq/clot.

In 7:189, Allah describes beautifully the reproduction process:

1. He first creates a pair or mates.

2. He then makes the male incline towards the female, meaning, to find her attractive for companionship amd mating.

3. The male and female them physically join and a light burden is given the female, that is, sperm and soon a clot.

Let's continue:

6:85 And Zakariya and Yahya and Isa and Ilyas; every one was of the good;

6:86 And Ismail and Al-Yasha and Yunus and Lut; and every one We made to excel (in) the worlds:

6:87 And from among their fathers and their descendants and their brethren, and We chose them and guided them into the right way.

13:38 And certainly We sent messengers before you and gave them wives and children, and it is not in (the power of) an apostle to bring a sign except by Allah's permission; for every term there is an appointment.

The above ayats establish two things. Isa/Jesus, as with the other mentioner prophets and messengers, had:

1. a father.

2. wife and descendents, which means, that Isa/Jesus, could not have died on the cross.

Finally, Allah, Almighy God, cannot have children, because:

6:101 Wonderful Originator of the heavens and the earth! How could He have a son when He has no mate, and He (Himself) created everything, and He is the Knower of all things.

42:11 The Originator of the heavens and the earth; He made mates for you from among yourselves, and mates of the cattle too, multiplying you thereby; nothing like a likeness of Him; and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.

Ayat 6:101, further establishes, contrary to the Christian and Muslim notion that, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD/ALMIGHTY GOD CAN DO ANYTHING, is simply not true. Allah, Almighty God says Himself that, He CANNOT have a child, because He has no MATE!.

A claim of the proponents of the virgin birth theory is that when Maryam was told that she would give birth to a son she asked “how can I have a son when no man has touched me?” and because she said this it is clear proof that Maryam gave birth to Isa without a man touching her. The problem with this conclusion is that Maryam is simply being told that she will have a son. There is no time frame attached to this announcement as to when it was to occur. Undoubtedly, she wasn't prepared at that time for such, given that, she wasn't married, hence, her expression of surprise

Now, there are those here and else where, who, claim that, Adam and Jesus are alike, in that, Adam had no mother or father. The problem with this conclusion is that it is an extrapolation. Nowhere in Al-Qur'an, not one ayat, has Allah stated that Adam had no mother or father nor did He say Jesus was fatherless, this is nothing but extrapolation, that is, conjecture as the result of not having known data. Regardless let me explain why the argument of 'like Adam' is incorrect.

In the Scripture it is said that Man is created from clay.

And your Lord said to the Angels: “I am creating a human from a hardened clay. So when I perfect him, and blow of My spirit in him, you shall submit to him.” (
15:28-29)

He said: “I am not to submit to a human You have created from a hardened clay.” (
15:33)

Fast forward to Man years later.

His friend said to him while discussing with him: “Have you disbelieved in the One who created you from dirt, then from a seed, then He evolved you into a man?” (
18:37)

Now pay attention.

And We created you, then We shaped you, then We said to the Angels: “Submit to Adam;” so they submitted except for Satan, he was not of those who submitted. (
7:11)

You???? Is God talking to Adam, or to Ahmad? Is God talking to you, or to Jesus?

What do you make of this passage below?

O mankind, if you are in doubt as to the resurrection, then We have created you from dirt, then from semen, then from a clot, then from a lump of flesh developed and undeveloped so that We make it clear to you. And We allow it in the wombs as We wish to an appointed time, then We bring you out a child, then you reach your maturity, and of you are those who are taken, and of you are those who are sent to an old age where he will not be able to learn any new knowledge after what he already has. And you see the land still, but when We send down the water to it, it vibrates and grows, and it brings forth of every lovely pair. (22:5)

Dirt? Were you made from dirt, or from sperm? Adam and Jesus are made from dirt right? Also notice the evolving that is referred to in verse
18:37.

We have created mankind from a structure derived from mud. (
23:12)

Who is mankind that is created from mud? Us?

And We had made a pledge to Adam from before, but he forgot, and We did not find in him the will power. (20:115)

And your Lord took for the children of Adam from their backs, their progeny; and He made them witness over themselves: “Am I not your Lord?” They said: “Yes, we bear witness.” Thus you cannot say on the day of resurrection that you were unaware of this. (7:172)

Is this the one and the same covenant for Mankind? Is Jesus not like the rest of mankind, created from mud/dirt and a sperm drop? Where Mankind has moms and dads you would deny Jesus his father? Do you also deny that Jesus is exempt from death?

If Jesus is the likeness of Adam than he is no different from how the rest of us are created. That is from dirt, sperm, a clot, etc. Why his father is not mentioned? There can be many reason perhaps. Maybe his father was one of those guys that leaves mommy to do all the work, or maybe daddy was not involved, or affiliated with anything in regards to Jesus out of personal choice. Perhaps dad died while Jesus was in the womb!

Summary:

  1. Isa, being a human being, was once a clot [the combination of sperm and egg], the product of pairing--a male [sperm, comes from the male] and a female, hence, Jesus, had to have had a father.
  2. The anthropos arguement destroys the concept of a dual natured Jesus according to the Bible. The Greek manuscripts only speaks of three natures 1. Theos=God. 2. Pneumatikos=Spirit and 3. Anthropos=man/fully human. There is no word in the Greek for dual nature. In the Bible, Jesus is described as anthropos-fully human. If he was a god-man as they claim he would be described as theoanthropos.
  3. Isa was conceived which is the union of male sperm and female egg.
  4. Jesus had a father, a wife, and descendants as did the rest of the prophets and messengers
  5. Since God Himself cannot have a son without a mate than surely Mary, a human creation of God, cannot.
  6. 3:47 does not state a specific time when she will get pregnant, merely that it will happen, her response can be explained due to the fact she wasn’t married at the time.
  7. Adam, who Isa is said to be created like, is never said to be fatherless or parentless, in fact he is a representation of mankind and was created the same way all men were through sperm+egg combination.
